Lamborghini Aventador Winds Up Stuffed Under a Semi

Newton’s second law tells us that mass times acceleration equals force. The greater the mass and speed of an object, the greater its force should it say, hit something. Unfortunately, for Lamborghini Aventador driver Spencer Hyde, fundamental physics seemingly weren’t at the front of their mind. According to the Gordon Gazette via Yahoo, Hyde was “traveling at a high rate of speed” on I-75 in Georgia when their vehicle collided with a semi truck.

TikTok user egrullon12 managed to capture the aftermath of the incident, which shows the Lamborghini fitting—almost—perfectly under the rear overhang of the 18-wheeler. Fortunately for Hyde, the Aventador’s reinforced tub prevented them from winning a Darwin Award, but they did apparently win the most improbable game of Tetris ever.  If you look closely at the crash scene, you can see that there was just enough space for the Aventador’s scissor-style door to open, which allowed first responders to extract Hyde from the vehicle. No other injuries were reported so it seems no other drivers were harmed in the accident which unfortunately isn’t always the case.

According to the Gazette, the crash caused the middle and right lanes of the 1-75 to shut down for 1.5 hours. So, if you had somewhere to be in the area and got held up in traffic, now you know who to blame. Considering how fast Hyde was driving and the final resting place of the Lambo, we’re shocked Hyde wasn’t badly injured. The State Patrol has not publicly announced any charges filed against Hyde—yet.
